Email - is it getting ridiculous?

posted by admin @ 10:46 AM

While going through my morning mail I was getting annoyed as I opened each one. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against emails of most any type-well I send viagra and all those meaningless sex things to the junk box-I try read everything I can just to stay current.  But there are days when I feel an urge to get out my soapbox and this happens to be one of those days.

emailgreenThere were headlines like “10 Steps to a Better Web Site,” “The Gold Rush is On,” “Hmm, A Big Warning,” “I make $11,000 a day with this method,”   the list goes on. My point here is that 99% of most emails I’ve opted in for aren’t worth reading. I guess they all forgot that adding value to my-or your-day is vital to any email campaign. Building a reputation for adding value to your prospect’s day is of utmost importance.  For some reason we’ve lost site of the basic principles of marketing.

The one basic principle that should still  rank high on any list is trust-without it nothing gets sold and or no long term value will result.

How is your email box? Can you identify the ones that add value to your efforts? If not send it to the trash bin as I’m starting to do-I guess I’ve had enough of the lies and come-ons that waste my time. I’m just saying…

Speaking of value, have you been to one of my Webinars lately?  If not, let me take a moment and tell you what’s been happening there.  We’ve had some super interesting and vital marketing topics.  Topics such as “ABC’s of Video Marketing,” Leveraging Sales in a Recessionary Economy,”  Craigslist Posting Tips,” and much more.

My point is that these webinars are free, there are no strings, no smoke, no mirrors, just down-right solid information that is painstakingly researched for accuracy.  There’s nothing to buy, unless you want to purchase some of the recommended resources that I personally use.  Oh, yes, and if you want to send a check for the Mark Gabel retirement fund that would be perfectly acceptable too.  Just kidding.

If you’ve not been there or haven’t made a visit lately, I highly recommend you join us this coming week and every week, and come early to take advantage of the free bonuses that are given away, like free private, one-on-one coaching.

Mixed bag? Craigslist, Blogs, FaceBook & Twitter

posted by admin @ 11:00 AM
March 1, 2010

kraftypillsWow, I’m here to tell ya that last week was an eye opener one for me.

I’m not talking about the Olympics or the weather- nope, I’m talking about the comments on marketing issues that I’ve received during my last week’s many coaching sessions.

They were so eye-opening that I feel compelled to share them with you on this week’s webinar. In fact they were so revealing that I’ve decided to devote the entire hour to them.

They range from Craigslist posting techniques, questions on blogging, changes and effectiveness of Twitter and FaceBook to the topic of integration them - that’s a two buck work for saying that folks were confused about how to *combine* them .  Is it because there are so many options out there?  Or is it because of the technical issues involved?

Find out as I take these issues to center stage and  demystify the whole deal-no smoke no mirrors, just good solid marketing advice and techniques especially for you.

freequestionsNetwork Marketing - Why Is It So Great?
By: Trent Brownrigg

If you’ve ever heard of Network Marketing, you’ve probably heard it said that it is essentially a people’s business. Some have also labeled it a people’s franchise because of the similarities between the business models of network marketing and franchising.  Advocates of the industry name it as the ultimate people’s Read the rest of this entry »

can_youI started on the internet net when Spam was meat in a can.   Since that time you can drive trucks through the vast changes in the Internet and Internet  marketing. I remember a time when I had 4 computers running simultaneously cranking out emails by the thousands. That wild west concept has been tamed.  Now Internet marketing is a challenge but it’s not difficult either and can be extremely profitable.

Google or Craigslist search?

posted by admin @ 10:15 AM
February 6, 2010

google_or_cragilsist_search1

Not primarily for Craigslist posters but for anyone who is marketing and advertising on the Internet, this free tool, Craig’s Tool Bar, will assist anyone in almost any business or personal search endeavor.

There are times when a Craigslist search will turn up specific market niches not found elsewhere. And there are times when a search needs to be more confined, in other words being able to read and view pictures on one page rather than being separated.  Easier?   Yes!  More efficient?  Certainly.  Better than a Google Search? In many cases, yes.   A time saver?  Most definitely.     Check out the video here and try it out for yourself, they have a free download.  Feel free to post your comments.

flockbrowserFlock Hits Three Million Users on Facebook, Grows Users 475% In 2009
Posted December 8, 2009 - 3:03pm by Dan Burkhart

This is a fun follow-up post to our note we published on October 4th, when we had just recently crossed 2 Million total users on Facebook. Well, in just two and a half months, we’ve added another Million users of Flock on Facebook.

In the chart below you can see that we’ve been on a nice trajectory this year, and in particular we’ve seen exceptional growth occurring around the globe from those countries where Facebook and Twitter have also been growing at record pace. These are the kind of charts we all like to see, but our challenge is to keep it going. That’s where you come in.  Download it here
